Co-Director | Principal Researcher

Becky is an urban designer and urbanist who has spent her career asking one of the most important questions in Aotearoa: what does it mean for Māori to truly belong in our cities? Her work sits at the heart of community, identity, and the built environment, exploring how urban spaces can reflect and sustain Māori culture and ways of being. When she is not reshaping how we think about place, she is at the pottery wheel or feeding the people she loves with something freshly baked. She is the kind of person who will bring a homemade bake to a meeting and somehow make that feel like an act of advocacy. Mum to Kahu and partner to Steven, Becky brings warmth, depth, and a deeply grounded humanity to everything she does.
