SERVICE:
RESEARCH
We undertake rigorous, kaupapa Māori-informed research that connects spatial practice, social equity, and Indigenous knowledge to inform better policy, design, and decision-making.
SPATIAL JUSTICE AOTEAROA RESEARCH
Spatial Justice Aotearoa undertakes rigorous, kaupapa Māori-informed research that sits at the intersection of spatial practice, social equity, and Indigenous knowledge.
Our research is practice-led and policy-relevant, designed to generate insights that can meaningfully shift how cities and communities are planned, designed, and governed.
We work across a range of methodologies, from quantitative spatial analysis to qualitative and community-based approaches, always asking how research can serve the communities it is about.
We publish, present, and translate our findings into accessible outputs, including reports, policy briefs, and public commentary, so that knowledge moves beyond the academy and into the places where decisions are made.
